Raising Sons In A Genderless Culture (Interview With Mike Fabarez)

The culture is waging war against the masculinity of boys, and it’s time to clarify what Scripture truly says.

So says pastor and author Mike Fabarez, whose new book, “Raising Men, Not Boys” (Moody), counsels parents on how to raise sons in a society that is blurring the lines between the sexes. Fabarez is the founding pastor of Compass Bible Church in Aliso Viejo, Calif., and is heard on hundreds of stations nationwide on the Focal Point radio program.

Fabarez is this week’s guest on “Words of Wisdom,” and he tells us:

  • Four “noble” goals parents should have for their sons.
  • Why a “manly work ethic” is so important.
  • How to instill humility in boys.
  • What a healthy marriage teaches boys about women.

Fabarez also gives advice to single parents who are raising boys.
