Author Ashleigh Slater calls it her “weeping years” – that time in her life when she had a miscarriage, began suffering panic attacks, and her husband lost his job. She even had suicidal thoughts.
But thanks to her faith in Christ and a community of friends and family members, she persevered.
Ashleigh is this week’s guest on Words of Wisdom, as she discusses what she learned during the lowest moments of her life – moments that included death — and how they made her stronger.
She is the author of the new book, “Braving Sorrow Together: The Transformative Power of Faith and Community When Life is Hard” (Moody), which she wrote to encourage others who are in the midst of trials and tragedy.
